Frequently asked questions

What types of gel products does the GLOSS 46W lamp cure?

The GLOSS 46W UV/LED Nail Lamp is compatible with all GLOSS formulas — rubber base, builder gel, top coats, all gel polish collections, acrygel, color base, and french base. It is also compatible with most other professional gel nail brands.

Is 46W enough to cure builder gel?

Yes. The GLOSS 46W Lamp is specifically engineered to cure thicker layers of builder gel and acrygel evenly. Use 90-second cure time for builder gel layers. Always apply in thin coats and cure each layer individually for best results.

How should I use the lamp with clients?

Use the lamp as directed and cure only for the time recommended for each product. The GLOSS 46W UV/LED Lamp uses LED beads that emit the wavelengths needed to cure gel. For clients concerned about UV exposure, UV-protective fingerless gloves are available as an accessory.

Does the lamp have a sensor for automatic activation?

Yes. The GLOSS 46W Lamp includes an automatic hand-sensor that activates the lamp when a hand is placed inside — no need to press any buttons during the service. Timer-mode is also available for manual control at 30s, 60s, or 90s intervals.

Can I use the GLOSS lamp for pedicure gel services?

Yes. The lamp opening is large enough to accommodate toes for pedicure gel services. Place the foot with toes inserted into the lamp for curing. All timer settings work the same as for hand services.

What is the lifespan of the LED beads in this lamp?

LED nail lamps typically last 50,000+ hours before the LED beads begin to degrade. For a nail technician working 8 hours daily, this represents many years of professional service before any maintenance is needed.

Great nail lamp with timer

I’m pretty happy with this lamp so far! I like that it had a countdown on top and that I don’t need to touch anything for it to turn on, it just has a sensor so as soon as I put my hand in it, my polish starts curing. It also has the magnetic removable bottom and it can be used for pedicures as well.

Great lamp, works well

This is my first time using a UV light for gel nails and it could not have been easier. After you plug it in, this device turns on by motion, so as soon as you put your hand or foot in, the UV turns on so you don’t have to worry about pressing buttons. And as soon as it turns on it has an automatic timer that comes on for 90 seconds with a digital display countdown so you can see how much time is left and be able to remove your hand or foot if you need less time.I’ve never used one before so I just did the 90 seconds for my set of semi-cured nails and it worked well. The size seems quite large to accommodate a range of hand and foot sizes. You can’t fit both in next to each other but there is a lot of extra room when I put in one hand or one foot. The instructions say you can take the bottom plate off for more room for feet, but I found there was plenty of extra room for my feet without needing to remove the bottom plate. It has a USB charging cord, and thankfully they provided the AC wall outlet!Overall this worked well for me, was super simple to use, and I’m happy with it.

You Have Beautiful Nails

The Gloss UV/LED Nail Lamp is a game changer! I can now give myself a professional looking manicure at a fraction of the salon cost and on my own schedule. I found the lamp to be very easy to use. The USB connection provides the flexibility to use it in a variety of locations. It has one timer button or a motion detection if that suits you better. The opening is roomy so you dont have to worry about hitting the sides. There are 23 well placed LED lamps that reach all angles. The base attaches via magnets and can easily be removed for a pedicure. The unit is compact and lightweight making for easy storage. The Gloss lamp is cost competitive with other lamps on the market. I cant speak of professional useage but feel it is ideal for home use. I highly recommend!

Honestly....
Professional style lamp!

This is a great gel lamp that's great for hands but limited in size for feet. I do recommend this for manicure and acrylic professionals, but I would not recommend this for home use. Just like with any professional or chemical service it's always wise to consult your licensed professional, and that is who I recommending these lamps to. Yes anyone can purchase a lamp at home nowadays and apply what they think is just nail polish, but this is actually a chemical service that needs to be applied strictly on the nail to avoid any damage to the skin. I highly recommend this if you're a professional but if you're not a professional I highly recommend you go to your local nail salon for gel nail services. Other than that this nail lamp works very well, has a timer, and is easy as plugging it in and putting your hands in it.

Great UV/LED nail lamp for home use

My daughter and I like to do our own nails, and this little (but not too little) UV/LED lamp is perfect for our non-professional needs! It works well with the gel polishes we have and cures within the standard, expected timeframe of 60-120 seconds for each coat. This lamp has replaced a larger one I had that just took up too much space. This item has a lower dome opening (so be careful sliding hands in) and it stores away so much easier!

Magnetic base works excellent, powered by USB-C, has countdown of time, touch sensitive button.

I've been doing gel nails at home for a few years now. I've used a tunnel shaped UV cure light as well as an individual nail light and was looking forward to comparing this style. This has been my favorite by far.The magnetic base is a really nice feature. If you're working in an ideal environment with no distractions, no kids, no pets, then that magnetic base won't be as important. However once you introduce the chaos of a home environment into your gel nails experience what can happen is you get interrupted or the curing light gets bumped and if you're unlucky it bumps right into the not fully cured gel on your nails ruining the work you've been doing. With the magnetic base it's not a guarantee you won't have problems but your hand on the base the base being attached to the light you can your hand and the light moves, you can move the light and your hand moves. You're much less likely to ruin your nails. And for those times when you don't want a base on it pops right off as it's held on magnetically.I also really like that the power is a simple USB-C port on the device with a USB cable and charger. That means you can use any USB-C cable you have. I'll often be setting up too far away for the frequently too short cables that come with things and be forced to either stretch a cable further than I should or find an extension cord. But I have long USB-C cables and can as a result have plenty of cable length. The operation of the light is nice too. It automatically turns on for 90 seconds when entering a hand. If that didn't work or if you wanted extra time you can touch the touch sensitive button for 90 seconds. There's a digital countdown so you know exactly where you are in the cycle.

This little lamp packs a punch

This lamp performs really well. It cures nails quickly and effectively—in an incredibly convenient, lightweight, and portable package. The smart sensors are a great bonus. For the price, the quality and power of this device exceeded all my expectations

Cures in 90 Seconds, Lightweight

Mixed feelings on this one. This cured without any issues. I generally use a lamp that has way more LEDs, so the fact that this cures just fine is good. My mixed feelings are based on the fact this only has a 90 second mode. I have used simple lamps that have less LEDs that cure in 60. This has one mode only. It has a nice display, but this is disappointing. Also, the button is on top and I found myself accidently hitting it when moving it around. I prefer buttons in the back. It does auto start with motion which is nice. I would just probably opt for something with a 60 second or less cure though. It does what it says it does though, so that is excellent.

Compact, Powerful, and So Easy to Use

I’m really impressed with this little nail lamp. It looks sleek and modern, but it’s also super lightweight and easy to move around, which I love since I don’t have a fixed setup. It’s roomy enough for my whole hand or foot, and the light turns on automatically when I slide in, so I don’t have to press any buttons mid-manicure. The timer display is bright and clear, and it cures my gels evenly every single time with no weird hot spots. I’ve used it with builder gels, regular gel polish, and to cure down decals with glue, and everything sets perfectly. It connects by USB, which makes it really portable, and I even tested it with a power bank just for fun, and it worked great! The magnetic base pops off easily for pedicures, which is surprisingly convenient. It feels professional without being complicated, and it’s fast enough that I don’t have to sit forever waiting for gel to cure. For something this compact and affordable, it performs beautifully and makes at-home nails feel like salon quality.

This is probably my favorite nail lamp

I really like this UV/LED nail lamp. The design is sleek, lightweight, and modern, but still roomy enough to fit my whole hand or foot comfortably without worrying about bumping into the sides. The LED beads cure my gel polish quickly and smoothly every time, with no patchy spots or heat spikes. I’ve tried it with different brands of gel, including builder gels, and it performs consistently well across all of them. The automatic sensor activates the light instantly when I slide my hand in, and the digital timer display is super handy for keeping track of curing time. I also love that it connects via USB, which makes it more portable - I imagine I could probably use it with a power bank. The magnetic base pops off easily for pedicures, and it came with a wall adapter too, which was a nice surprise.Overall, this lamp feels professional-grade while still being easy enough for a beginner to use. It’s compact, powerful, and versatile, and has saved me so much money and time compared to going to the salon. If you’re looking for a reliable nail lamp that gives flawless results at home, you'll want to consider this one!

Two days, she usually gets out of her nails

AS most men know, it's not a good time when one of these nails comes off. Ladies, you know what I'm talking about. My wife has used this one multiple times and two days is what she usually gets out of her nails. Obviously, there are other variables with nail brands etc but, two days is the average. Overall, she is happy with it. The cost, quality, and USB ability is great! Very Lightweight & Easy To Use!

I was a bit skeptical when I opened the box as the lamp is fairly light, but it works exceptionally well! Everything comes packed inside a giftable box and includes the UV lamp, magnetic base, directions booklet, USB-C cord and charger. The magnetic base does not have to be used but does stay securely on when connected. You only need to put your hand in device, and it turns on for 90 seconds with an LED countdown on top. This is great as you don't have to touch the unit to turn it on. Simply put, this is a solid, lightweight UV lamp that works well!

Quite good nail lamp

I got the Gloss UV LED Nail Lamp 2 for home use with my nails, and it has quickly become a dependable tool in my nail care routine. The UV lighting is strong and evenly distributed, which means my gel polish cures smoothly and completely without any patchy spots or undercured areas. I have used it for several different gel brands and it consistently delivers reliable results across all of them. The automatic sensor is very responsive, activating instantly when I place my hand under the lamp and turning off when I remove it, which makes the process feel smooth and efficient. The build quality also feels solid for a home device, and it comfortably fits my whole hand without needing to rotate fingers for full coverage. One of my favorite features is the power setup. Instead of being locked into a wall outlet, it uses a standard USB power source with a detachable cord. This adds a layer of portability I really appreciate, since I can easily connect it to a USB battery bank when I want to do my nails away from my usual workspace or when traveling. The detachable cable also means I can replace it with a longer or shorter one depending on the setup I need, which is a small but useful flexibility. For anyone looking for a compact yet capable nail lamp that performs well and fits easily into a personal nail kit, this is a great option.

Well made and portable nail lamp

Gloss UV LED Nail Lamp 2 | USB Charging Nail Dryer 46W for Nail Polish, LED Light 23pcs lamp Beads and Automatic Sensor, Professional UV Nail Lamp for Nail Art Tools AccessoriesThis is a well made and very portable nail lamp. The nail light is a very sleek and cool design. This lamp is small enough for travel. It is nice because the lamp works with the included USB to typeC cord and could be plugged into a power supply, or computer. The light is so handy and I would plug this nail light into a usb tower on my desk. This is an easy to use lamp and works great for manicures or pedicures. This nail light has an auto on function and also shows the timer if you need to use that feature. The bottom can be removed for easy use. Great no fuss UV and LED nail light. This would make a nice gift also.

Powerful Nail Lamp

This is a very gorgeous, powerful nail lamp. I'm so surprised and happy that it came with a USP wall charger. The lamp beads are very powerful (you can definitely feel it), and located all around the lamp strategically to ensure that the light hit all the angles of your nails. I was a little concerned at first since the entrance of the lamp has a different shape from lamps I used to own, but I was wrong. It was so much wider and now I don't have to worry about my nails with wet gel nail polish will hit the lamp while trying to cure them. The lamp also comes with a removal plate, which is easy to remove or put it back on with a little magnetic feel to it. The only complaint I have is this lamp only has one setting, 90s. It's really not a big deal, you just have to pay more attention if you need a specific time.

I’m beyond happy with this UV/LED nail lamp! As someone who does professional gel nails, I needed something reliable, efficient, and easy to use—and this one checks all the boxes.First off, the design is sleek and modern, and it’s super lightweight, which is great if you’re moving between stations or even doing mobile nail services. The 46W power is perfect for curing all types of gel (including builder gel and polygel), and I love that it has a smart infrared sensor—no more fumbling with buttons! Just slide your hand in, and it turns on automatically. The touch button and time display are also a nice touch (pun intended!), and I appreciate that it’s designed to be non-harmful. It cures evenly, no weird heat spikes, and my clients’ nails come out looking flawless every time.If you’re in the market for a solid, professional-grade nail lamp, this one is definitely worth it.
