How to Use

  1. Prep nails with GLOSS dehydrator and primer, then apply a thin layer of rubber base and cure.
  2. Choose a dual form that fits the width of the natural nail, side wall to side wall.
  3. Fill the inside of the form with polygel or builder gel — thinner at the tip, thicker at the stress area.
  4. Press the form onto the nail at a 45° angle, lower it flat, and clean up any excess around the cuticle.
  5. Cure under a UV/LED nail lamp, then gently remove the form.
  6. Refine the free edge, cleanse, and finish with color and a no-wipe top coat.

What are dual forms for nails?

Dual forms (also called top forms or dual system forms) are reusable plastic molds that you fill with product and press onto the natural nail. Once cured, the form is removed, leaving a fully shaped extension with a built-in apex and C-curve. They are one of the quickest ways to create extensions, especially for beginners.

Which products can I use with dual forms?

Dual forms work best with thick, self-holding formulas like GLOSS Acrygel / Polygel and GLOSS Builder Gel. Very runny gels are harder to control inside the form.

Are the dual forms reusable?

Yes. After removing the form, wipe it clean with alcohol or nail cleanser and let it dry. With proper care, each form can be used many times.

How do I choose the right size?

Start with the shape your client wants, then pick the form that covers the nail from side wall to side wall without pressing into the skin. If you are between sizes, go slightly larger and file the side walls after curing. The 140-piece mix covers a full size range for every client.

How do I stop the extension from sticking to the form?

Make sure the inside of the form is clean and dry before use, and avoid getting product on the outer edges. After curing, gently flex the form from the sides — it should release easily from a fully cured extension.
