Frequently asked questions
What is nail cleanser used for in a gel manicure service?
GLOSS Nail Cleanser & Degreaser serves two main purposes. Before gel application: it removes residual oils and contaminants from the nail plate that could cause lifting. After applying the final top coat: it removes the tacky inhibition layer that some gel top coats leave after curing, allowing you to add nail art, chrome, or finish the service cleanly.
Can I use isopropyl alcohol instead of GLOSS Cleanser?
Standard 70% isopropyl alcohol can remove the inhibition layer, but it may not degrease as effectively as a dedicated professional nail cleanser. GLOSS Nail Cleanser is formulated specifically for salon use to clean the nail plate thoroughly and remove all sticky gel residue in one step.
How do I use the cleanser correctly?
Apply a small amount to a lint-free wipe and wipe each nail firmly. For pre-gel prep, do this after the dehydrator step if additional degreasing is needed. For post-top-coat use, wipe firmly over each cured nail in one direction to remove the inhibition layer without disturbing the finish.
Is 150 ml enough for a full day of salon services?
A 150 ml bottle lasts most technicians a full working week with regular salon volume. For high-volume salons, we recommend purchasing multiple bottles to keep a consistent supply at every station.
Does this cleanser damage the gel finish?
No. GLOSS Nail Cleanser is formulated to remove the inhibition layer and surface oils without affecting the cured gel below. Use only after curing is complete. Do not apply before gel polish is fully cured — this would dissolve the uncured product.
