Frequently asked questions
What stamping plate designs does GLOSS offer?
GLOSS currently offers 15 stamping plate designs — Cats, Wild, Botanical, Geometry, Mandala, Texture, Monsters, Owls, Lace, Garden, Reptile, School, Safari, Pets, and Exotic. Each plate is made from stainless steel and features multiple design motifs per plate.
What stamping polish should I use with GLOSS Stamping Plates?
Use GLOSS Stamping Polish — a thick, opaque, high-pigment formula designed specifically for stamping. Regular gel polish or nail lacquer is too thin to fill stamping plate designs properly and will not transfer cleanly.
Can GLOSS Stamping Plates work with any stamper?
Yes. GLOSS Stamping Plates are standard size and work with any professional nail stamper. The stainless steel surface is compatible with all standard scrapers and stamper heads.
How do I clean GLOSS Stamping Plates?
After stamping, clean the plate immediately with a lint-free wipe and acetone or nail polish remover. Do not let polish dry on the plate — dried polish is harder to remove and can clog the engraved designs. Store plates flat in their protective cover to prevent scratching.
Are GLOSS Stamping Plates reusable?
Yes. Stainless steel stamping plates are fully reusable and with proper care will last for thousands of services. The engraved designs do not wear out with normal use.
Can I use GLOSS Stamping Plates on gel nails?
Yes. Stamping works on fully cured gel nails. Stamp your design on top of the cured gel polish, allow the stamping polish to dry fully, then seal with GLOSS Top Coat Non Wipe and cure.
